Name meanings and there Origins

So my friend and I are having this discussion on facebook of what we would name our kids and meaning and putting names together and there origins.  It all started when we figured out we had the same middle name; Rose!
So to start out with my name....
Susannah: It means Lily or Rose. It's Hebrew or Greek. My parents with the Hebrew version (thank goodness) so in all reality my name is Lily Rose.  But if they went with the Greek version it would be Rose Rose. ha.

Diana (her middle name is rose too): Her name is Roman (how beautiful) and get this the meaning of her name is Goddess, Childbirth, or Goddess of the moon or hunt.  Either way it's Goddess. :)

Now when I have kids (which won't be for a very long time) I want to name them unique names.  I don't like putting names together as much as finding meanings and origins.

Girls:

Ella: Ella is Greek, and I guess I can see that.  I love the movie Ella Enchanted (but that is off topic) maybe that is where I got the name idea?  The meaning of Ella is torch or (even better) Bright Light! Her name is all English.  The name in English means Beautiful Fairy-Women. I like that one better. I would want Ella's middle name to be Marie. Ella Marie <3

Aria: This name is (it says suitable for both genders).  The origin of Aria is Greek and it was taken from Ariel and/or Ari.  The meaning of Ariel is Lioness of God.  That translates over to Aria.  I like both names but Aria is just more exotic. The middle name I would have for her is Aria Mae! <3

Hayley: The name is Old English (=Love) It sadly means Hay Meadow.  It could also mean Hero (I like that better obviously). The middle name I would pick for Hayley is Jane...Hayley Jane <3

Maci: Maci is English or it could be Old French (my friend, I think would love that) :) The meaning is Weapon (Oh great) I guess because it means weapon means that she'll be a tough cookie which is good. Her middle name will be Maci Rae <3

Miranda: Miranda is Latin (Latino) i like that.  My favorite actress/singer has a Latin name, Selena.  The meaning is she who must be admired.  That is ironic because I'm watching Wizards of Waverly place and there is a character on here named Miranda.  The brother, Justin, is falling head over heels for her. So funny.  Anyway, Miranda's middle name will be Belle. Miranda Belle <3

On to boy names (wow I'm not Cliche with blue for boys):

Blaine: The origin is Irish. (I love a band from Ireland <3) It means Thin, Surname.  Surname means last name...so that confuses me.  I would have his middle name be Patrick. So Blaine Patrick! <3

Liam: The origin for Liam is Germanic, so I guess that is German but I could be wrong.  The meaning for Liam is Will, Desire or helmet or protection.  I like that, he'll be a tough cookie too :) The other origin is Hebrew and the meaning is My people. Either is fine with me. His middle name shall be Jacob. Liam Jacob <3

Lucas (Luke for short): The name is Greek and it means man from Lucnia.  Um what is that? It is a biblical name.  Luke means the same thing.  I like that simple and short. I would like his middle name to be Ryan. So Lucas Ryan. <3

Ethan: Ethan is from Hebrew.  It means Strong, firm, and/or impetuous.  In English it means the same thing! Strong is the best one there.  I'd pick his middle name to be David. Ethan David. <3

Jason: I've always wanted a boyfriend named Jason because I love the name.  The origin of the name is Greek and it means healer. I absoltuly love this name.  Jason's middle name will be Tyler.  Jason Tyler <3

I love thinking ahead to the future. And it helps when you have someone to talk about it with.  Here are the names I want my kids to have and one of my best friends names on here.  Thank you Diana.  :)
